

Kathryn Sue Robertson Knight age 69 of Greenwell Springs, LA passed to heaven at 3:16pm on Sunday, June 2, 2019, surrounded by loved ones after a brave fight with lung cancer. She is reunited with her father James, her mother Ruth, and her brother Daniel. Sue was born in Baton Rouge and raised in Baker, LA where she attended Baker High School. She was active in clubs and cheerleading and was elected captain of the cheerleading squad, Miss BHS, and Homecoming Queen. Sue attended McNeese State University before marrying her high school sweetheart, Terry Neal Knight in 1972. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind an adoring husband of 47 years. She will be deeply missed by her four children and their spouses: Danyelle Woodley and husband Tim; Carlie Jacobs and husband Wes; Lindsey Whitty and husband Marcus; and Terry Knight Jr. and wife Krystal. Sue’s 12 grandchildren and one soon-to-be adopted grandbaby brought great joy to her life: Dylan, Kathryn, and Madelyn Woodley; Reagen, Sydney, and Wes Jacobs Jr.; James, Jackson, Lucas, and Naomi Whitty; and Skyler, Finn, and Sawyer Knight. Sue served others in her family, church, and community with love and dedication. For several years, she was a floral designer where she blessed others through her highly creative floral designs. She co-owned Trinity Driving School with her husband and was a passionate gardener, antique collector, and fisherman. Sue’s hard-working, creative, compassionate spirit left a strong impression on those who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her beloved family.
