

She was born on November 19, 1940, to Carl and Dorothy Crossland in Lawton, Oklahoma.
She had four children with her husband, Ford Verma, and her second marriage was to Al Arceneaux.
Kay worked at and retired from the Louisiana Office of Disability Determinations. She was a loyal member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, enjoyed Oklahoma University football, and was an extremely competitive card player, especially when playing against her sisters.
Kay is survived by her children, Mischa Verma of Stephenville, Texas, Mitch Verma and wife Renée of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Karan "K.K." Verma and husband George Lange of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Drisana Oxford, Aislinn Oxford and wife Jala Watts, and Lilli Verma.
Kay is also survived by her siblings, Carol Killeen, Ann Schmitz and husband Jerry and Tom Crossland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eldest son, Mark Verma, and husband, Al Arceneaux.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the caring staff of Williamsburg Senior Living Community and The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 1pm with a private family burial will follow.
