Keith David Diamond passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2023 at the age of 58 after losing his battle with Cirrhosis. God blessed Keith with the gift of being a super talented musician, singer and songwriter. Keith could hear any song and begin to play it by ear on a guitar or piano. A favorite request among his followers was an Elton John medley that he sang and performed on the piano. Keith was part of several local bands that he shared with his brother, Rick, and many other friends. Keith, you will be missed for so many reasons; your musical talent and sense of humor to say the least. You’re right, we all need angels to keep us strong. You have joined our angels and will help us stay strong while we mourn and cherish our memories with you. You will be forever loved. Keith was survived by his Mother, Joanne Alello Diamond; Brother, Rick Diamond; Sister, Dawn Robinson and her Husband, Jerry Robinson; Nephew, Chandler Robinson; two Nieces, Meghan Robinson (Godchild) and Taylor La Grange; many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; and his beloved rescue dog, Tootie. Keith was preceded in death by his Father, Gary Diamond; Grandfather, Ernest Diamond; Grandmother, Laura Mae Chaney Diamond; Grandparents, Jack and Mary Alello; and Uncle, Dr. Myles Gaupp. Pallbearers will include Jerry Robinson, Chandler Robinson, Taina Euggino, Eric Williams (Godchild), Willem van Beuningen and Dan Shapiro. There will be a Celebration of Life in memory of Keith’s love of music on June 22, 2023 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a celebration service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the endless hours of prayers, support, and hospital visits from our family and friends, as well as the love shown for Keith on Facebook. We are grateful for the special care that Keith received from the doctors, nurses and staff at the Baton Rouge General Hospital on Bluebonnet Boulevard; as well as the gentle care from St. Joseph Carpenter House Hospice Center. We will continue to pray for all of you who God called to care for the sick with such grace.
