Keith White

Malohn Keith White, a lifelong resident of the Baton Rouge, LA, area, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the age of 79. Born in Baton Rouge, LA, Keith was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School, class of 1964. Keith joined the Air Force that same year. After Basic Training, he was assigned to a B-52 squadron in Altus, OK, for four active years and two inactive years within the Strategic Air Command. Keith returned to Baton Rouge and joined Gulf States Utilities (prior to the acquisition by Entergy), Gas Department, and remained for 42 years until retirement. Keith was an amazing cook as well an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his time enjoying the local woods & waters with family & friends. Keith is survived by his love, and wife of 56 years, Margaret Jacquelyn York White; children, Kathryn White-Lancon Gelpi (Shannon), Christene White Jones (Russell), Christopher White (Amy) & Matthew White (Jessica); grandchildren, Justin, Dylan, Katelyn, Fox, Abby, Faith and Aiden; and a host of other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malohn G. White and Hilda White Barrick. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 5pm to 7:30pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday August 4, 2022, from 9am until the time of funeral services at 12pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, with military honors at graveside. Pallbearers will be Christopher White, Matthew White, Russell Jones, Patrick York, Shannon Gelpi and Mike Kirby.
