Kenneth C."Chick"Landaiche

Kenneth C. "Chick" Landaiche Sr. passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at the age of 86. He was a native and resident of St. Gabriel, LA. "Chick" was a proud member of the US Army and a Korean War Veteran. He retired from the Ormet Corporation as a Supervisor of Operations. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and his camp in Cocodrie, LA. He is survived by his wife of 65 years; Mary Belle Brackin Landaiche, children; Kenneth C. Landaiche, Jr., Stephen M. and wife Jerri, David F. and wife Roxanne, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, sisters; Wilma Weeden, and Carol Cooke, brothers; P.T. Landaiche, Jr. and Thomas L. Landaiche. He is preceded in death by parents; P. T. Sr. and Lillia Noel Landaiche, brother; Francis Noel and sisters; Constance and Elaine Landaiche, and Bettie Roy. Visitation will be at St. Gabriel Catholic Church Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am conducted by Rev. Charlie Landry, entombment to follow in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. The family wishes to give special thanks to his caretaker, Catherine Sharp and the medical staff at Our Lady of the Lake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
