
A loving and dearly loved husband, son, father and Paw-Paw, Ken died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the age of 65. A native of Baton Rouge, Ken was a graduate of Istrouma High School and LSU. Though employed as a financial adviser, he dedicated his life to his family and his community. He had a generous heart, a loving spirit, and he never met a stranger. A tireless advocate for people with disabilities, Ken received the 2005 LATAN Volunteer of the Year Award for his work in assisting people with disabilities who survived hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., on Tuesday, May 29, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continues Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., the Rev. Gerald Burns, celebrant. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Ken leaves behind his loving wife, Julie M. Nesbit. He is also survived by his mother, Esther Roth Ewing; children, Dawn Ewing Mills and her husband, Allan, Sean Ewing, Laura Ewing, Tammy Ewing, Troy Ewing, Marc Boudreaux, Kristen Maxfield and her husband, Dave, Beau Boudreaux and his wife, Dorothy, and Martine Boudreaux; grandchildren, Beau Thompson, Blake Ewing, Patrick and Stephen Mills and Grayson, Alex and Juliette Maxfield; sister, Edith Bonfanti and her husband, Charles; brother, Delton "Buster" Ewing and his wife, Gerry; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Morris Ewing; and father, Forrest W. "Buck" Ewing.
