A beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, August 16th 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Plaquemine, LA. KD is survived by his children, Tammie “Beanie" DeJean Best, Debbie Marchiafava, Angie Vercher and Kaccy Montague; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clydelle R. DeJean (July 12th 2004); father, Roy DeJean, Sr. (July 16th 1987); brother, Roy DeJean, Jr. (January 31st 1983); and grandson, Christian Marchiafava (August 16th 2013). KD was a machinist by trade and loved hunting and fishing. His favorite past-time was spending time with his granddaughters, Heather B. Duplessis and Kennady M. Best. He also could not wait each week for the “little babies” to get the house, his little “Humbug" Briston James Duplessis and beautiful, little Britley Marie Duplessis.
