

He was the former owner of Teche Pest Control and owner of a car lot. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, and a native of Church Point, he was 73. Kermit was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Kermit is survived by his children's mother Mary Pommier; three daughters Penny Delahoussaye and husband Buddy, Wendy Luzier, and husband Terry and Jenny Jones and husband Trey; sister Loretta Leger and husband Wilbur; four grandchildren Tiffanie Veazey, Nicholas Luzier, Ryan and Jason Delahoussaye; four great-grandchildren Loreal Veazey, Noah, Blayde and Lanie Luzier; god child Donnie Leger; niece Michelle Duplantis. Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, 2nd wife Rena Duval Schexnyder. Visitation at Greenoaks 9595 Florida Blvd.on Sunday January 8, 2012 from 5pm till 8pm. Visiting continues at the funeral home on Monday January 9, 2012 from 10am till service time at 12pm conducted by Brother Dale Phillips, entombment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Buddy Delahoussaye, Terry Luzier, Trey Jones, Nicholas Luzier , Ryan and Jason Delahoussaye. Honorary pallbearer Donnie Leger. Kermit was a longtime member of Woodman of the World. Kermit loved to fish, and play the harmonica.
