Larry Lee Bozeman, Sr., a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Central, LA passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 87. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the DOTD. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He also loved working in his yard. His family will miss their rock, as he was known, but will cherish his memory and strive to follow the example he set in life. He is survived by his two children, Larry “Lee” Bozeman, Jr. and Mary Kate Pedeaux; three granddaughters, Heidi Jo Pedeaux, Candice Pedeaux, Megan Seabolt and husband, Steve; seven great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Noah, Kori, Cadence, Cruz, Kendall and Piper; the last of their generations, his brother, Paul Donald Bozeman, Sr. and his sister-in-law Betty Bozeman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Davis Bozeman; his parents, Harry Aldrich Bozeman, Sr. and Annie Lee Walker Bozeman; six brothers, Harry Jr. (Hazel), Joseph (Effie), Justin, Ronald, Francis Eugene and Darryl; five sisters, Kathryn Kohler (Irwin), Beverly Babin, Florence Dixon (Vernon), Marian Arnold and Patsy Lanier (Ray); numerous nieces and nephews; and most recently, Billy Welborn, the life partner of his granddaughter, Candice. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, April, 29, 2021, from 10:00AM until the time of funeral services at 12:00PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
