

Larry Odell Burleson, 69, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away September 19, 2014, surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, watching sports, listening to his bluegrass gospel music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Katherine Behrnes Burleson; children Lori Burleson Burris and husband Tom, Lisa Burleson Dunn and husband Colin; grandchildren Kaci and Connor Dunn and Ethan and Evan Burris; brother Robert Burleson and wife Nola, sister in law, Kathleen Burleson; sister and brother in law, Barbara and Reggie Gerstein and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by parents Ellington and Fannie Burleson; brother Gene Burleson; father and mother in law, Henry and Dorothy Behrnes.
Pallbearers will be sons in law Colin Dunn and Tom Burris, nephews David and Jody Burleson, longtime friends Billy Reeves and Fred Martin and his grandsons. Robert Burleson and Dr. Tom Quaid will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be at Greenoaks Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 5pm until 9pm and will resume on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 10am until service time at 12pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
