Larry Wayne Loveless passed away on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the age of 68. Larry was a war veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, a retired police officer, a middle child, a loving son and brother, and father, whose only child preceded him in death. He was a beloved friend to many who knew him. Larry sang in bands since high school, where his first band The Phaggs won Broadmoor High School's talent contest, the State Fair Battle of the Bands, and in the late 60's opened up for Eric Burden and The Animals. If you are not familiar, they were part of the British invasion, which was HUGE! Along with his best friend Hunter Barrilleaux and his brother Gaylan, they could sing an amazing three part harmony. Larry had a singing voice of an angel. Whether the tigers won or lost, friends and family could always look forward to a rocking good time after a game when the guitars came out. Larry is survived by his brothers, Mike Loveless and his wife, Barbara and Jimmy Loveless and his wife, Denise Greenwood Loveless. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Larryce Loveless; and parents, Dave and Evelyn Loveless. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date. Donations in Larry's name can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
