He was born in Baton Rouge, La. on December 7, 1938, to the late Frank G. Sullivan, Sr. and Viola Kendrick Sullivan. Larry K. was a 1956 graduate of Istrouma High School. He owned several small businesses over the years, including Larry K.’s Realty, Larry K.’s Restaurant in Cortana Mall, Larry K. Sullivan's and Chicken Diner.
Larry K. would be the first to tell you that he wasn’t a perfect person. He would also tell you to always learn from your mistakes and thank the Lord for every day that you have. Larry K. loved to make a joke and often ended phone calls with, “‘When I get old, I want to be like you’; or ‘You pray for me, and I’ll pray for you’.” He loved his family and friends deeply and rarely missed an event — unless it interfered with an LSU football game.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years, Charlotte Sullivan; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Glenda Sullivan; 3 children, Cindy Meilleur (Chris), Michael Sullivan, and Mark Sullivan; stepdaughters, Beverly Borne (Robert) and Tanya Stevens (Jeremy); stepsons, Bob Chauvin (Jennifer), Marty Lambert (Sandy) and Tim Lambert; and great-niece, Abby Wilson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Sokolik, Kristen Sullivan, Dr. Michael Sullivan, II, Matthew Sullivan, Courtney Craven, Stanley Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan and Maya Sullivan; step grandchildren, Jennifer DeLaune, Trina Borne, Shauntel Deshauntelles, Ashley Chauvin, Geoff Lambert, Jason Lambert, Katie Clark, Landon Vidrine, Macy Jo Chauvin, Sawyer Chauvin, Stetson Chauvin, and Jenson Chauvin; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Kaden, Kallie Ann, Calum, Vivienne, John, Stacy, Isabella, Dylan, Charlee May, Noah, Ella, Brady, Brantley, Claire, Ava and Elias; and by his nieces and nephews, Anna Claire Arnold (Dale), Tommy White (Despo), Gary Sullivan (Janice), Troy Sullivan and Scott Sullivan.
Larry K. was preceded in death by wife, Margie D. Lambert Sullivan in 2003; wife, Juanita Wells (mother of his 3 children) in 2024; and daughter-in-law, Stacy A. Sullivan in 2018 (Michael’s wife). He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frank G. Sullivan, Jr. and sister-in-law, Johnnie; sister, Joyce White and brother-in-law, WG White; nephew, Darren Sullivan; niece, Robbie Treuil; and son-in-law, Troy Vidrine.
