A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Laura Jarreau on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was longtime parishioner. Visitation will be held at church starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at False River Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Jarreau, age 91, passed away at her home on June 23, 2022. Mrs. Jarreau gave countless years of dedication to her church where she sang in the choir, served as a Eucharistic minister, taught religion and also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary Group. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and LSU Basketball. Mrs. Jarreau enjoyed picking pecans and was famous for her Christmas fruitcakes. She will be deeply missed by the many people who were touched by her. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Oliver Jarreau, Jr; daughter, Dorothy Jarreau; grandchildren, Monique Jarreau, Scott Jarreau; great-grandchildren, Jordan Guarisco and great-great-grandchildren, Hayden LeBlanc and Jace LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Jarreau; parents, Alex and Lillian Aguillard and sisters, Mary Ann Rouse, Stella Bizette, Peach Jarreau and Dorothy Jarreau. Pallbearers will be John Aubon Jarreau, James Jarreau, Scott Jarreau, Don Jones, Darryl Rainwater and Brandyn LeBlanc with Thomas Jarreau serving as honorary pallbearer. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
