

L.B. served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea in support of the Occupation and Reconstruction of Japan from 1946 to 1947. He attended Louisiana College and graduated from Louisiana Technical University in 1951. L.B. was a pipeline company owner and CEO involved in operations from pipe coating to transportation. In 1992 L.B. was inducted into the Pipeliners’ Hall of Fame for his achievements in the oil, gas and energy industry.
In his retirement, L.B. enjoyed his lifelong outdoor pursuits, including golfing, fishing, and duck hunting. He was an avid reader, traveller, and amateur genealogist. L.B. was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Delta Sigma Pi and the Audubon Society.
He is survived by son John David Brashier (Claire McLin Brashier); daughter Catherine Brashier Torielli (John); grandsons Evan Brashier and Michael Torielli; and granddaughters Anne Brashier (Brian Grannan), Emilie Torielli (Matthew Platek), and Camille Torielli (Bryan).
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Carolyn Briggs Brashier; parents, Lawrence Bell Brashier Sr. and Mary Billiot Brashier; and son and daughter-in-law Lawrence Bell Brashier III and Leslie Kantner Brashier.
Graveside services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, July 8, at
10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name be made to the American Legion, Donation Processing, PO Box 1954, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
