Lawrence Marie "Deanie" Nissen (nee Dees), 83, peacefully passed away May 24, 2014, at Landmark Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. She was born February 24, 1931 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Deanie was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only of 61 years, the late Bobby Joe Nissen. She is survived by her son and his wife, Robert and Becky; grandchildren: Mathis, Marcus, and Donna Nissen, Jason Kimball and his wife, Gloria, Wil and Jessica Morris; great-grandchildren: Brehea and Cayden Nissen, Kaden Kimball, and Khloe Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe; parents, Lawrence and Virginia Dees; sisters, Louise Fritz and Francis Spence; and great-granddaughter, Kylie Morris. Deanie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Baker where she loved her Sunday School class. The family of Deanie Nissen would like to thank all the wonderful doctors who have taken care of her, the staff at Landmark Nursing home, and hospice caretakers from Life Source Services.
