

Lee P. Fournet, longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away October 30, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 82. He was born on January 31, 1931 in Monroe, LA. Lee proudly served in the US Air Force and was a graduate of Louisiana State University. He retired from the Department of Health & Hospitals after over 30 years. Lee was a devoted LSU Tigers fan and watched games until the end no matter how well they did. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Eulalie Fournet; wife, Dixie Fournet; son, Lee Fournet Jr. “Sonny”; and brothers, Raymond and Jimmy Fournet. He will be missed by his three sons, Terry Fournet and wife Jill, Glen Fournet and wife Connie, and Tommy Fournet; grandchildren, Robert, Brittnie, Zachary, Cassie, Torie, Dylan, Baylie, Christopher, BreAnna, Kyle, and Alexis; great grandchildren, Natalie, A.J., Hannah, and Carleigh; sister, Joyce Gamble and husband Harry; and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
