
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Independence, she passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at her home at age 72. A retired servant to the elderly, she was a parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bobbie Calandro; her children, Debbie Carmichael and husband Brian, Tommy Calandro and wife Michele, all of Baton Rouge, Bobbie Jean Hayes and husband Kelly and Jackie Calandro and companion Jennifer Thomas, all of Walker; brothers, Kelly, Joe, J.C., Russell and Larry Santangelo; grandchildren, Jeanne Carbo, Robyn Alford, Brett, Stacy and Leigh-Ann Curtis, Lori Springman, Royce Martin, Sam Moore, Kelley and Lauren Calandro, and Jake Thomas; and seven great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Tony and Frances Santangelo and the sister of the late Tony Santangelo, Mary Shelton and Sena St. Angelo. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 2121 N. Sherwood Forest Blvd., at noon, with the Rev. Jack Nutter, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to In His Care Hospice. Special thanks to Alicia and Dee of In His Care Hospice. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
