A native of Ventress and resident of St. Amant, he died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at the River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace. He was 75 and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes Thursday from noon until the religious service at 2 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Raborn Goudeau: son, Gerald "Kirk" Goudeau; sister, JoAnn "Jody" Landry and husband LeRoy; eight grandchildren, Ricky, Keith, Tabbatha, Russell, Michelle, Christopher, Denver and Dalton: five great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Emerson and Odile Ventress. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo N. and Christine G. Goudeau: two sons, Carl and Doug Goudeau; and grandson, Jamie Goudeau. Pallbearers will be Kermit and Kearny Bergeron, Rick Goudeau, Gregg Campagna, Bill Bailey and Denver Goudeau. Honorary pallbearers are Chris and Russell Goudeau.
