A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Marysville, Kan., he died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at 4:30 p.m.. in Baton Rouge at age 82. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars having received the meritorious and conduct service awards. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with religious service at 5 p.m., conducted by Russell Hinson. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery on Monday at 10 a.m. He is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Nancy and Yvette; two sons, Carl and Douglas; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Loretta and Lavergne. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Uneida Schreiber. Pallbearers will be David Prejean, Thomas Ashley II, Zachary Schreiber, James Jones, Thomas Ashley Sr. and Keith Talbot.
