Lessie Landry Jones

Lessie Lee Landry Jones, 96, a native of Maringouin, LA and a resident of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her home. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Lessie graduated from LSU in the Department of Education. She retired as the assistant manager of St. Gerard and Redemptorist High School Cafeteria. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church parish in Denham Springs, LA. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Walter A. “Bill” Jones; children: Sandra Dixon and husband Lyle, Curtis Jones and wife Brenda, and Sharon Harman and husband Lyle; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 9am until time of services at 11am. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronn Dixon, Sr., Kevin Jones, Kerry Jones, Jeffrey Harman, Mason Weaver, Ronn Dixon, Jr., and Jerry Dantzler.
