Lewis Sims Campbell, III. A native of St. Joseph, Missouri and a resident of Gonzales, Lew died peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2016 surrounded by his beloved family. He was 74. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Claudia Sheley Campbell; his children, Christopher Campbell and Ellen Broussard, of Baton Rouge, Bradley Campbell, of Baton Rouge, Robert Campbell and wife Kecia, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren Caroline, Madelyn and Daniel Campbell, of Baton Rouge; siblings Molly Happ and husband Jerry, of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Carol Gallimore, of Overland Park, Kansas, Susie Girten and husband Chris, of Lenexa, Kansas; brother-in law Alan Sheley and wife Eva, of Centennial, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. Lew was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Marie Louise Campbell. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for the compassionate and attentive care they gave to Lew and the family.
