

Lila Meyers Carbo, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 91. Lila was a member of the Association of Desk and Derrick Club, and was a Queen of the Mardi Gras Ball where she helped to organize many events. She loved to dance, sing and enjoyed writing poetry. In her youth, she sang and danced for the soldiers in World War II. She retired from the Department of Natural Resources. During her career, she worked for WBRZ and the LA State Police. She was once honored by Governor Edwin Edwards with a Governor’s Award for her dedicated service to the State of Louisiana. She is survived by her children, Lonnie Hutson (Debra), Ronnie Hutson, Sherri Hutson Davis (Mike), and Robyn Hutson Borskey; grandchildren, Kacy Hutson Martin (Vic), Adam Hutson, Blair Hutson Wade (Jeff), Dylan Hutson, Damon Hutson, Aimee Hutson Ganlath (Akila), Lauren Hutson, Kevin Hutson, Jennifer Davis Duvielh (Joe), Angela Davis Sanchez (Troyd), Craig Davis, Jacob Borskey, Hannah Borskey and Olivia Borskey and 12 great-grandchildren; Siblings, June Bowen and Tom Meyers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Meyers, Sr. and Hazel Thomas Meyers; brothers, Clyde Meyers, Jr., Earl Meyers, Jimmy Meyers and granddaughter, Tiffany Hutson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Baton Rouge at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
