Linda Goudelock Hunter

"Linda is a native of Jackson, MS, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, departed this life on September 27, 2017. She was born on May 30, 1941, in Ruleville, MS the daughter of Frances and Dawson Goudelock. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Elizabeth "Beth" H. Zeigler, Melinda K. Hunter, Judith H. Sharp and her husband Wallace C. Sharp, two grandchildren Dawson T. Sharp and Andrew H. Sharp. She also leaves behind a brother Robert "Bob" D. Goudelock, Jr. and his wife Sandra G. Goudelock, along with a niece and nephew, Carolyn" Christie" Champagna, and Robert "Robbie" D. Goudelock, III. Family and friends were Linda's passion and delight. She adored her grandsons and bragged on them to everyone. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and took pleasure in the simple things in life. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA, Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. The family wishes to thank all those who cared of her during her illness.
