Linda Faye Sibley Sorrell, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, was born July 5th, 1941, and she passed away in her home on January 17th, 2022, at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her husband of 57 years, Charlie Sorrell, her "baby" son, Steven Sorrell, and granddaughter, Logan Sorrell Schilling. A wake will be held Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Zoar Baptist Church in Central, LA, on January 20th, 2022, from 9 to 11 am, followed by a graveside service. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Gartman Sibley and Floyce Wheat Sibley. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Chalmus Sorrell Jr; her youngest son, Steven Elvin Sorrell Sr and his wife, Shana Sorrell of Walker, LA, and their children: Logan Melynda Sorrell Schilling and husband, Nicholas Schilling of Walker; Mackenzie Sorrell Rhodes and husband, Colby Rhodes of Rayville, LA; Katie Sorrell of Walker; Steven Elvin Sorrell Jr. of Walker; and Olivia Sorrell of Walker; great grandson, Wyatt Sorrell of Walker; oldest son, Charles David Sorrell and his wife, Christi Sorrell of Oak Ridge North, TX: their children, Roxanne Sorrell of Shenandoah, TX; Charlie Sorrell and Hunter Sorrell of Porter TX; step-grandchild, Jessica Sorrell of Oak Ridge, TX; step-great-grandchildren, Cason and Odom Sorrell of Oak Ridge, TX. Linda graduated from LSU in 1975 with her master’s degree in Education. She was an elementary teacher and principal. She then sold real estate with M.A. Allen She had a lifetime Eastern star Membership with Eleanor Chapter #105. In 1984 she was the Eastern Star Grand Organist for the State of Louisiana.
