
Our heavenly Father has sent his angels to lift our mother up to her final resting place with Him. Oh, how she will be missed by all who knew her, but what a comfort we have in our hearts just knowing the glory she has facing her. She died Monday, May 19, 2008, at age 89. She was a native of Deerford and resided in Denham Springs. She worked as a registered nurse from 1940-1988. She was a nursing supervisor at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center and Stanocola Medical. She was awarded the "HON" award in 1986 which stood for the Healthiest Oldest Nurse still working. She is survived by a son, Dale LeBlanc Sr. and wife Goldie Love LeBlanc; three daughters, Donnye and husband Jake Bollinger, Jeri Lee, and Sharon and husband Gerald Tanner; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee L. LeBlanc, and husband Karl J. Peters; mother, Bertha Kent Valentine; father, Craig Valentine; brother, Leo Valentine; sister, Kathryn Yoches; and son-in-law, George A. Lee Jr. Pallbearers will be Joe Lee Leblanc, Dale Leblanc Jr., Dennis McCall, Pat Bowles, Donald McKenzie, Dwight Hebert, Duston Boyd and Curtis Dupre'. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, May 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at First New Testament Church, 3235 Aubin Lane, on Friday, May 23, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m., conducted by her grandson, Jeff Lee. Burial at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
