
"The loss of a loved one is difficult enough to process. She was a major and positive influence in many lives which makes it all the more difficult to process. The full weight of this loss will be felt by many who have known and loved Lois. A large hole will be felt where such a small woman has lived and loved." A native of Donaldsonville and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a retired employment counselor with Boekers' Employment Service and Accent Personnel. She is survived by her husband, Bill Stevens; children, Buddy Landaiche and wife Lillie, Suzette Hoffman and husband Tom, Jeanie Buell and husband Mike, Vicki Waters and husband Jim, Cheryl Ruffner, Todd Stevens and wife Kelli, and David Stevens and wife Chandra; a sister, Grace Graugnard; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister, Linda Schmidt. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. celebrated by Father Eric Gyan. Interment in Oak Lane Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
