Lou Ella R. Lucas born December 14, 1925, a native of Sunset, LA, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, and a recent resident of Carencro, LA, passed away, Thursday July 11, 2013 at the age of 87. She was a faithful member of First Methodist Church in Baton Rouge since 1955 and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Married September 3, 1954, Lou Ella is survived by her husband of 59 years, John L. Lucas; sister, Eldine Burleigh; two brothers, Joseph Richard and Roy Richard; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Ada Richard; three brothers, John, Jessie and Stephen Richard; and four sisters, Mary Comeaux, Mabel Rose, Bertha Comeaux, and Elvina Blackwell. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 11am until funeral service at 2pm conducted by Chris Andrews. Interment will follow in Resthaven’s Gardens of Memory.
