

Mr. Louis Adams, Jr. was born April 7, 1931 in Brookhaven, Mississippi to the late Mr. Louis Adams, Sr. and Edna Mae Diggs Adams. He was one of eight children. He received his early education in the Brookhaven, MS schools. Upon graduation he attended Alcorn State University and later received a degree in education at Southern University in New Orleans, LA. On March 11, 2016 the Lord sent down the angel of mercy to safely guide Louis home, at the age of 84.
He confessed a faith in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Wade Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. He faithfully served in his church by assisting with Sunday school services. He later joined New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA where he served as a deacon. Upon moving to Texas, he became a member and deacon of Impact Church of The Woodlands in The Woodlands, TX.
He was married to his wife, Shirley Sanders Adams, for more than sixty-two years. On March 20, 2016, they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. This union was blessed with five children; one son and four daughters.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Edna Adams, Sr.; his siblings: Melvin Adams, Lillie Mae Rucks, Lucille Dixon, Precious Reed, Albert Adams, Clifton Adams and Lena Mae Henderson; and his only son: Ronnie Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Shirley; four daughters: Terri (Gill) Houston of Baton Rouge, LA; Pamela A. Briscoe of The Woodlands, TX; Cassandra (David) Coley and Shelita (Hamilton) Williams, both of Atlanta, GA; one daughter-in- law, Paula Woods Adams; nine grandchildren: Dr. Ronnie (Felicia) Adams II; Angelle Adams, Esq.; Terronce (Angela) Richardson; Kaaron (Delance) Minefee; Patrick (Zabada) Briscoe; Trenice Houston (Herbert LaFleur); Gill (Alison) Houston Jr.; Randi Adams; Ryian Adams-Llopis; and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as, brothers and sisters in-law; and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at noon. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in his name be made to the Patient Access Network Foundation (PAN Foundation).
