
On Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, we lost more than a father - we lost our best friend. He was born Aug. 11, 1928, the only child of Pearl Mire and Abel Aime. Survived by his daughters, Lori Aime Prudhomme, Lynn Aime Weingarten and Lisa Aime Joffrion; sons-in-law, Tim Prudhomme, Marc Weingarten and David Joffrion; and grandchildren, Marshall Sanchez, Samantha and Allegra Weingarten, and Uriah and Madison Belletto. Visitation wake at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Monday, Dec. 20, was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Requiem Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral downtown at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, with reception following at the church hall. Interment will be for the immediate family only. He was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Dutchtown. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus - 4th Degree Dream Day Foundation, a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, a generous donor to St. Mary's Training School in Alexandria where his granddaughter resides and Youth With a Mission. He did three medical mission trips to Honduras with Church of the Holy Spirit. He was a member of Cancer Support Group at St. Luke's for 13 years and worked out at the YMCA five days a week for many years. He served in the Navy at the end of World War II. in the Atlantic and Pacific, from 1945 until he was honorably discharged in July 1946. He was a generous, loving and caring friend to many who loved Jesus with his whole heart, mind and soul.
