

Altazin III, Louis "Buddy" S."I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7Louis "Buddy" Altazin III passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his residence at the age of 80. Louis was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. He is a retired Assistant Chief Training Officer with the Baton Rouge Fire Department. He is survived by a son Keith Altazin and wife Valerie; son Louis S Altazin IV and wife Judy and a daughter Vickie Rabalais and husband Brent. He is also survived by a sister Ora Annison, sister in law Barbara Ourso and Brother in Law Charles Anderson Jr. He is survived by 8 grandchildren Kelley Altazin (Austin, TX), Louis Altazin V (North Carolina), Stehpanie Starns and husband Raymond, Kevin Rabalais (BR) and wife Sheila, Candace Altazin (Byram, MS), Ryan Altazin (BR) and fiancé Dani Crockett, and Paul Altazin. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren who were the light of his life Ava Rose Marie Altazin, Liam Rabalais and Hayden Crockett. He is preceded in death by the love of his life Rosa Lee Anderson Altazin, his father Louis S Altazin Jr, his mother Ora Bayhi Altazin. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge Thursday, 2/26/2015, starting at 5:00 PM "“ 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Friday, 2/27/2015, at 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be his four grandsons Louis, Kevin, Ryan and Paul and nephews Darren Anderson and Jason Ourso. The family would like to give thanks to all who cared for him at Amber Terrace Assisted Living and Amedysis Hospice. A special thanks to Michelle, Sheila, and Valencia for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
