Louis Francis Yglesias

Louis Francis Yglesias, native of San Jose, Costa Rica and resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 92. He is survived by his lifelong partner Wallace Selman and numerous nieces and nephews in both the United States and Costa Rica. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernardo Rafael and Clara Yglesias; brothers, Joe and Ben Yglesias; sisters, Amalia “Bobbie” Yglesias Whitaker and Clare Odio.

An avid traveler, who had quite the “green thumb” and an angelic voice, Louis was the owner of Easton Nursery and was talented when it came to plants and flowers. His beautiful yard was a reflection of the passion and time he spent gardening. He had a degree in agriculture and was the owner of his own dairy farm. Most of all, Louis loved spending time with Wally, especially traveling. Pallbearers will be: Ben, Patrick, Michael Yglesias, Baron Bujol, Jack Pryor and Murray Corkern. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 6pm-8pm and will resume on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 9am until funeral service at 10am.
