Lucille Ben Lathan passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Ville Platte, LA to the union of Ambroses Ben, Sr. and Joyce Frank Ben. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a graduate of McKinley Senior High School. She was a faithful and devoted member of Calvary III Baptist Church where she worshipped with her husband Nathaniel Lathan, Sr. She is survived by her sons Edward Lloyd Ben and Ronald D. Ben, her sister, Joyce Marie Ben Richard, her loving and devoted granddaughter Kristen Deshawn Clark, granddaughter Ashley Gorman, grandson Marcus Ben, great grandchildren, Essence Miller, Trinity Bryant, Aden Gorman, Alaycia Gorman and Autumn Gorman, great -great granddaughter England Carr, Godson, Deion Netters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Lathan Sr., her parents, sister, Lou Ella Ben, brothers, Malcolm Ben, Felcon Ben, Herman Ben, Ambrose Ben Jr., Michael Ben. and granddaughter Tasha Gorman.
Burial will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
