A resident of Baton Rouge, she was 80, and a native of Fordoche. She died at 1:28 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her friends and family. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. on Monday, November 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Tuesday, December 1, from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m., conducted by Bridgeway Chaplain Ryan Hartzell. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Giordano; son, Peter Giordano, Jr. and wife, Wanda; three grandchildren, Kenneth Giordano, and wife Ashley; Angela Gomez and husband Tyler and Robert Giordano. Two great grandchildren, Caleb and Alyssa Giordano; and a brother, Angelo Reno; and her best friends, Ms. Gloria Montz, Mary Oneal, and Mary Jo Seeser. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Peter Giordano, Sr.; parents, George "Joe" Reno and Mary Gaeto Reno; five brothers, Pfc. Vincent Reno, Joe Reno, Tony Reno, Vic Reno, and Russell Reno; three sisters, Josephine Reno Free, Sarah Reno Cacioppo, Jennie Reno Bueche, and a great grandchild Ethan Giordano. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Reno, Anthony Reno, Mike Catania, Gasper Cacioppo, Jr., Brian Bennett, and Jeffery Williams. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Barbati and Vernon Procell. Special thanks to: nephews, Anthony Reno, Gasper Cacioppo, Jr., Bobby Barbati, and Jimmy Reno, who stood by her side since the loss of her beloved husband.
