Lydia Robillard Pourciau, native of New Roads, LA, and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker, an officer in St. Regis Place Homeowner's Association for several years, and a 25-year volunteer with the Cub Scouts, attending national training at the Philmont Scout Ranch Training Center several times. She earned the Wood Badge and Silver Beaver awards. Lydia was also a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church where she founded the Prayer Line Ministry. She is survived by her husband, Charles Pourciau; sons, Jacques (Anne Scott), Andre (Andrea), and Jean (Aimee); brother, Lawrence Robillard (Candy); longtime caregiver and friend, Beverly Roberts; grandchildren, Jacob (Hannah) Pourciau and Mary Scott Pourciau; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Russell and Ethel Robillard; stepmother, Marge Robillard; grandson, Cody Pourciau; and sister, Bonnie Robillard. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Monday, January 18, at noon. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
