With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and though we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating. A precious soul at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us. He only takes the Best." Lynn Riedlinger Digirolamo, 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family Monday, May 24, 2010, in her home. She was a native of New Orleans, a resident of Baton Rouge and a retired school bus driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system. The visitation will be Wednesday, May 26, at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Jerry Martin, celebrant. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; and John McCarthy, Don Paul Day, Chuck Edwards and John Roush. Survivors include her mother, Marie Y. Saloom; three daughters, Frankie Day, Toni Edwards and Darlene McCarthy; son, Joseph "Joey" Digirolamo Jr.; two sisters, her twin, Carol Smith, and Diane Breaux; brother, Roy Riedlinger Jr.; and six grandchildren, Logan, Brennon, Alexis, Jade, Hadley and Seth.
