"A retired Louisiana State Archivist and resident of Baton Rouge, Mable Combouzou passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was 92 and a native of Springfield. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, April 28, from 10 am until religious services at noon. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Mable is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ward and husband Al, and Staci Messina and husband Frank; grandchildren, Page McClure and wife Chasity, Jodie McClure Haney and husband Don, Krystal, Michele and Kendall Messina; seven great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters. Mable was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Combouzou, Jr.; parents, Benjamin W. and Vera Crain Threeton; sister, Rita Coats; brothers, Benjamin, Jr., Hollis, Ray, Wesley and Bobby Threeton; and great-granddaughter, Tricia Dees. Memorial donations may be sent to Carpenter House.
