Madeline Leach Prestridge

A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Madeline Leach Prestridge was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted and faithful follower of Christ and a strong spiritual leader of her family. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 4, 2012. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 8am until time of services at 10am. Brother Dan Dix will be presiding over the services. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughters Monica Bumgardner, Lydia Wise, and Lisa Leslie, her son-in-law Brian Wise, and her grandchildren, Hannah Wise, Rachel Wise, Stephanie Leslie and Emily Bumgardner. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Prestridge, her son David Prestridge, and her son-in-law Stephen Leslie. The pallbearers will be Bert Neal, Bernie Naul, Billy Randolph, Duke Duchesne, Joe Stablier and Clayton Donaldson. We would like to thank the Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet doctors, nurses and staff, especially an angel named Violet who made our precious mother and grandmother smile and laugh in her last days. Also, thank you to Jim and Kathy Stanley and Generations Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
