

Madison Ma'Kai Marshall was born on August 9, 2006, in Baton Rouge, LA. A vibrant and loving daughter to Maurice & Teresa Hue Marshall. From an early age she found a second family with teammates, in basketball, track cross country, and AAU volleyball. She played with a steadfast heart and sportsmanship; she led by example with humility and relentless drive. Madison was a member of Lambda Tau Youth Sorority at Madison Preparatory Academy.
Madison was a proud graduate of Madison Preparatory Academy, Class of 2024. After graduation in October of 2024, Madison was sworn into the Army National Guard, proudly answering the call to serve our country. Madison was currently employed at Baton Rouge General with patient care, where her caring spirit was reflected in her service to others.
Madison was proud of her Louisiana roots and southern culture. She especially loved horses and was an avid participant in trail rides and 4-Wheeler rides. Madison also had a step or two for Zydeco. Madison adored her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Known for her infectious smile, warm spirit and unwavering kindness. Maddie touched the lives of everyone she met. Her energy and passion for life will never be forgotten. Madison legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Madison Ma'Kai Marshall entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory, parents: Maurice and Teresa Hue Marshall; siblings: Lanise (Traquan) Jackson, Malik Nguyen, Ma'Kayla Marshall, Ma'Reesia Marshall, Mauriella Marshall; nephews: Brycen and Traycen; maternal grandparents: Hoc and Lai Nguyen; and host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Henry Marshall and Shirley Chatman.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, La, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4 pm until 8 pm and will continue on Wednesday, August 5, at Healing Place Church, 19902 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, La, from 10 am until funeral services at 11 am.
