A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mamie Ann Maggio Bourgeois, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, with her family at her bedside. She retired from Crawford and Co. Insurance Adjuster Co. She is survived by her wonderful, loving husband, R.J. Bourgeois, and their children, Terri Hobgood and husband K.C., Jerry Bourgeois and wife Karyn, and Randy Bourgeois and wife Jennifer; and a granddaughter whom she loved with all of her heart and soul, Kimberly Alexis Bourgeois. In addition, she has seven more grandchildren. Michael and Kelli Hobgood, Brandi Chapman and husband Eric, Brittni and Brooke Bourgeois, Kallie Bourgeois and Giovanni Deluca; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Dalin and Bailee Chapman and Presli Bourgeois; and stepgreat-grandchild, Kynleigh Ellisor. She is also survived by her brother, Nick Maggio and wife Joann; and sister, Josie Gibson and husband Bobby; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. Her love for her family was immeasurable and she always gave of herself freely without ever having to be asked. She was an awesome cook and always wanted to feed someone whether they were hungry or not. She was a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a blessing to all who came in touch with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rosemary Maggio. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Jan. 18, was from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., the Rev. John Koehler, celebrant. Pallbearers will be Michael Hobgood, Tommy Gibson, Todd Comeaux, Ryan Larussa, Tony Zumo, Phil Muscarello Jr., Billy Clements Jr. and Andy Webster. Honorary pallbearers are K.C. Hobgood, Dylan and Dalin Chapman and Giovanni Deluca. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank doctors T'lane Folse, Kent Rhodes, Stephen Speeg and Michael Castine and Lane Regional Medical Center ICU nurses for their compassion and love in taking care of our loved one. >
