Margaret Mae Boone

Margaret Mae Boyle Boone passed away at her home on August 28th, 2025 at only 65 years old. She was a native of Louisiana, where she lived for most of her life. A lifelong homemaker, Margaret raised three children with her husband of 43 years, Steve. She was a loving and dedicated mother whose children meant the world to her. Margaret was known as “the sweetest person you could ever meet” and she never had an unkind word to say. She always thought the best of everyone and loved to meet new people and listen to their stories.

Margaret's Catholic faith was extremely important to her and she would attend Mass as much as possible at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Once her health prevented her from attending Mass in person, she would watch it on television from her home every Sunday. She was very proud of her Mexican heritage and made several trips back to her mother’s hometown of Merida with her family. Margaret also loved shopping, traveling, and spending time at home with her family watching classic Hollywood movies and old black-and-white television shows.

Margaret is survived by her husband Steve and their three children, Natalie Marie Boone (Blake Trebert); Cristina Anne Boone (Blake Fugler); and Eric Deene Boone; sisters Pam Mixon (Michael) and Susie Fontenot (Scott). She is preceded by her parents Paul Boyle and Maria Elena Boyle. Everyone who knew her will miss her kindness and silly sense of humor. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, September 6th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm followed immediately by funeral services.
