

Margaret Carlino Young, a native of Frisco, Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday January 9, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, at the age of 88.
Margaret was a devoted wife of 58 years and a loving mother to seven sons and one daughter. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during the 1950’s, American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters Honor Guard and a member of the Our Lady of Mercy Rosary Group for over 25 years. Margaret also worked at Union Federal Savings and Loans for 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Carlino and Lucretia Cashio Carlino; step-mother Carrie Mauro Carlino; two sisters Anne Fazio and Rose Miceli; three brothers V.J., Jimmy and Sam Carlino.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Estin J. Young; seven sons and their wives, Brian (Andrea), John (Gay), Steve (Karen), Greg, Glenn (Debbie), David (Terry Ann) and Michael (Sandra); a daughter and her husband, Pamela Young Maxwell (Michael); a sister, Vickey Danna; a brother, Leo Carlino; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Wednesday January 13, 2016 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, with the Rosary at 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 1:30pm on Thursday January 14, 2016 conducted by Father Cleo Milano. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
