Margeaux Gardner Buckner passed from this Earth on Sunday, July 24, 2011, after a difficult struggle with cancer. She was 35, born Aug. 1, 1975. The illness that ultimately took her life was not a picture of the energy and vitality with which she lived. She is survived by her husband, Brent W. Buckner, of Central; two daughters, Donielle N. Blanchard, of Denham Springs, and Stephanie Huffstutler, of Richland Hills, Texas; son, Dylan Z. Vega, of Keller, Texas; stepson, Peyton W. Hunt; father, Dennis F. Gardner; mother, Marguerite Prince Acosta, and stepfather, Wendell Acosta, of Denham Springs; and brothers, Brian Giacone, Scott Giacone and Jason Gardner; also grieve her passing. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard M. Prince and Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Gardner. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, July 28, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at noon. Burial following the service will be at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of Margeaux Gardner Buckner to the Baton Rouge Cancer Society. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and care providers at Woman's Hospital and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for caring and providing for Margeaux during this difficult time.
