
Roppolo, Margie Agnes AustinA resident of Baton Rouge and a native of the Milldale/Pride community, died at 3:05 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was 89 years and 4 months old. She was a long time employee of Franklin Press retiring after 30 years of service and an active member of Parkview Baptist Church Ladies Sunday School. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, April 24, from 9 am until religious services at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her son, Victor Anthony Roppolo and his wife, Yvonne Roppolo; grandson, David Wayne Roppolo and his wife, Rachel Roppolo; granddaughters, Traci Michelle Roppolo and Dixie Marie Roppolo; great-grandson, Matthew Roppolo; great-granddaughter, Anna Rachel Roppolo; sister, Carolyn Austin Reeves; brother- in-law, M. L. Mestepey; sisters-in-law, Joyce Austin and Lena Roppolo Dias; and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Roppolo; parents, Ruben and Ray Austin; sisters, Maurie Mestepey and Carrie Lou Penny; brothers, Willie James Austin and John Louis Austin. Pallbearers will be David Roppolo, Matthew Roppolo, Robert Rimes, Rogers Mestepey, Wendall Reeves and Mark Hartman. Many thanks to Randy Doran and Mike Flowers, employees of grandson, David and his partner, Robert Rimes, who adopted her as their own and checked in with her as they began their workday.
