Margie Swan

Margie Lee Swan, passed away in Meridian, MS on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in Hampton, Arkansas to her beloved parents, the late James L. Mills and Nancy Ann Cates Mills. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond E. Swan Sr. Margie is survived by her daughter, Linda Carol Williams and her son, the late Raymond E. Swan Jr. She was the sister of Billy D. Mills (Conroe Texas), Calvin E. Mills , wife Jeanine (Collinsville, MS.) and Dorothy Follow (Conroe, Texas).

Margie was an avid homemaker who loved arts and crafts, sewing, playing golf and cheering on her favorite team, The Atlanta Braves. Margie made many great memories traveling the world along the side of her husband with the US Airforce before he retired. She is also survived a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA., 70815 on Friday June 6th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Foster Road Baptist Church, 11333 Foster Rd., Baton Rouge, LA. on Saturday morning, June 7th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Gardens.
