Margie H. Tam

Margie Harper Tam, age 97, passed away on August 4, 2024. She was born in Natchez, MS and resided in Baton Rouge, LA. Margie was a family advocate and a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She retired from Georgia Pacific in Columbia, MS as the office manager in 1986. Margie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Tam Shivers (Ronnie) of Bassfield, MS; daughter-in-law, Christine M. Tam of Baton Rouge; granddaughters, Angela Tam of Baton Rouge, Kristen Maxwell (Rhett) of Fort Mill, SC, and Kimberly Hinton (Brian) of Brandon, MS; grandson, Andrew Odell Tam (Karina); great-grandchildren, Brad Humphreys, Anna Kate Maxwell, Thomas A. Maxwell, Ashley T. Blue, Cooper Hinton, Cadey Hinton, and Adam Brennecke.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Tam; son, Billy Ray Tam; brother, Charles E. Harper; as well as, her sister, Marilyn H. Reynolds.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Olla Cemetery at 12:00PM. Dr. Dennis Baker will be officiating the graveside.
