She leaves a legacy of love, kindness and caring, not only for her family, but for those loyal, committed special friends that loved and shared in her life. Weze was born into the union of Elmer Roark and Gladys Arminda Greer Baham in Monroe, where she attended Neville High School. While attending Neville, she became a member of both the concert and marching bands, having mastered the bass clarinet. She also was a pitcher for the Baton Rouge Guilding Trades Unions Women's Amateur Baseball Team in the early 1950s, traveling the U.S. and Canada. The team was both five time state and regional champions. In 1953, the team was ranked sixth in the world. As a resident of Baton Rouge, she obtained a real estate license sponsored by LSU. She retired from the Division of Administration after many years of service to enjoy her golden years by gardening and fishing at her home in Ventress or traveling with friends and family to many beautiful scenic locations. She was also an avid LSU sports fan who rarely missed the opportunity regardless of where she was to catch an LSU game. Weze passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at the age of 81.
