Marie Antoinette Steele

Marie A. Steele “Nett” passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was 70 years old and was born in Baton Rouge, LA on January 26, 1947. She retired from Ochsner Medical Center after 18 years of service. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all. Marie is survived by her husband of 22 years, Kenneth; her son, Bryan; three step-daughters, Pamala, Tami and Kristy; one grandchild, Shayne; six step-grandchildren, Michael, Cameron, Austin, Brandon, Bryce and Brennan; one step-great-grandchild, Kayden; one brother, Nick and wife, Margarite; two sisters, Susan Robert and husband, Kirk, Toni Kimball and husband, Brian; Godchild, Brittaney and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Anna Mae Montagnino and brother-in-law, Jim Millican. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, July 1, 2017, from 9:00AM until the time of funeral service at 10:00AM.
