Marilyn O'Neal Haygood went to her eternal rest April 26, 2026. She is Survived by her son Stephen Michael Haygood, daughter in law Gail, granddaughter Lauren Haygood Graham, and great grandchildren Preslie, Clancy and Beau Graham. Brothers Norris, Marvin, Larry O'Neal and sister Jean Mobley.
Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Ben J. Haygood III, son Roger Haygood and parents Doyle and Thelma O'Neal.
She spent her life as a Homemaker, Wife Mother, Grandmother, and sister between stints of working as a Book keeper and Medical receptionist. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling with friends and family.
She was a faithful church member and has met Jesus face to face. She kept the memory of her departed son, husband, and parents. They have been reunited and she got to see Roger run to greet her for the first time. May she enjoy happiness and joy for all eternity..
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. on Thursday April 30th,2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time.
