A retired mechanic and retired longtime employee of Santa Fe Railroad, he died at 9:25 p.m.Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenter. He was 76, a resident of Baton Rougeand a native ofCovington, Texas. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, March 21, from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m.Final arrangements will be held inCovington, Texas. Survived by his wife, Lou Conner; two daughters, Yvonne Choudhury and husband Pranab and their sons, Neel and Robi, and Candice Snee and husband Will and their son, Clint Snee and his wife, Sara; his son, James Conner and his companion, Bonnie LeBlanc, and his children, Nathaniel and Abby; two sisters, Johnnie Conner and Sarah Conner and their families; and three brothers, Freddy, Dwight and Bryan Conner and their families. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Velma Conner. He received an associate degree in mechanics, served in the Texas National Guard in the 36th Armored Division, was a Boy Scouts of America Scout Master and enjoyed fishing, camping and wood carving.
