
A saleswoman at Baton Rouge Furniture Co. for many years, Marion McAlphin Lynch passed away at 6:08 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. She was 88, born in Forest on Feb. 10, 1921. She was a very giving lady who loved to share whatever she had with others and found great joy in giving. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home chapel, 825 Government St., on Sunday, Feb. 22, was from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitation resumes on Monday from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Preceded in death by her husband, John D. Lynch; parents, Claude and Ludie McAlphin; and two sisters, Clara Van Osdell and Gertrude Thompson. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John K. and Priscilla Lynch; three grandchildren, Gary Lynch and fiancée Laura Smith, Lisa Lynch Falcon and husband Dean, and Kelle Lynch Cupit and husband Ben; eight great-grandchildren, Matthew Lynch, Jesse Lynch and wife Beth Ann, Amanda, Drake and Brody Falcon, Dylan and Hope Lemoine and Carson Cupit; a great-great-granddaughter, Lillie Bonnette Lynch; honorary granddaughter, Kelly Newsom Clifton; stepgreat-grandchildren, Shannon and Nathan Smith; a wonderful neighbor, Helen Beauchamp, who looked after her for many years; and a special roommate and friend, Mrs. June Rome. Pallbearers will be Gary, Matthew and Jesse Lynch, Dean and Drake Falcon and Ben Cupit. Special thanks to the staff at Golden Age Nursing Home who cared for her and whom she loved.
